Leighia Wells, DC

DR. LEIGHIA WELLS

Chiropractor

Dr. Leighia Wells grew up in southern Illinois and graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science. She earned a doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2000, graduating Magna Cum Laude. In 2006, she earned a certification in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy to become one of the first Chiropractors to have attained this credential.

Dr. Wells became certified as a Primary Spine Practitioner (PSP) through the University of Pittsburgh in July of 2021. The PSP maximizes clinical outcomes by ensuring that conservative management always remains at the forefront and that patients have a consistent “go-to” professional who can monitor and facilitate their progress towards recovery. Dr. Wells identifies patients that require further diagnostic evaluation, such as x-ray, MRI, etc., and ensures that other specialists and surgeons see patients when it’s most appropriate for their skill set.

Dr. Wells founded her private practice in 2001 and practiced for five years at Borgess Spine, working extensively with other providers. She held leadership positions in many community and state associations and is active in legislative efforts to improve healthcare access for patients in Michigan. Dr. Wells is a member of the American Chiropractic Association, Michigan Association of Chiropractors, and the Forward-Thinking Chiropractic Alliance.

DR. DANIELLE CLARK

Chiropractor

Dr. Danielle Clark joined our practice in February 2022 after beginning her chiropractic career in Jenison, MI. She was born and raised near Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but moved to Michigan to play volleyball and basketball at Kalamazoo Valley Community College. During that time, she fell in love with southwest Michigan and decided to complete her undergraduate studies at Western Michigan University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences.

Dr. Clark went on to earn her doctorate from Northwestern Health Sciences University, graduating Magna Cum Laude in November of 2020. While at Northwestern, she completed the Sports Emphasis program by completing additional coursework and internships in the school’s Human Performance Center. This allowed her to work with various patients ranging from high-performance athletes to weekend warriors and everything in between. Dr. Clark has a passion for working with young athletes, educating them on proper biomechanics and self-care to enable them to have long and successful careers.

Dr. Clark is currently working towards her certification in McKenzie Diagnosis & Therapy (MDT) and her certification in Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehab (FAKTR). Dr. Clark is a member of the American Chiropractic Association, Michigan Chiropractic Association, and Forward Thinking Chiropractic Alliance.
